Xiaomi’s latest version of MIUI, MIUI 12, has a lot of new features. It comes with Control Center, Super Wallpapers, Virtual Identity, and many more. The MIUI 12 also has a dynamic Always-on-Display feature with a lot of custom animation styles. This feature is currently only limited to China.
According to a number of responses from Xiaomi smartphone users, it seems like the latest MIUI 12 ROM has several bugs.

If somehow, you managed to get the dynamic AOD on your phone outside China, are you experiencing the low brightness and 10-second timeout issues? Many users are not able to use the AOD feature for more than 10 seconds because of this issue.
If you are facing such an issue and want to use the Always-on Display feature, for that just disable MIUI optimization in the Developer Options of your device.

Some users are reporting the low brightness or change in brightness on the AOD. Sadly, currently, we don’t have any solution from the company officially.
