As per a new leak, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi may soon launch its first budget Android smartphone with a 120Hz refresh rate display. One of the three upcoming Redmi Note 9 series will have this feature.

The tipster stated that that the phone will come with a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Like the Mi 10T series phones, the upcoming Redmi device will support variable refresh rates.
As per the content, the phone will automatically decrease the refresh rate to 30Hz to extend battery life. The upcoming Redmi phone will not only feature the 120Hz but it is also requisite to come with a quad-camera setup with a 108MP main camera.
Recently, the tipster also revealed that Redmi is likely to use Samsung’s ISOCELL HM2 sensor, which was announced in September. It is expected to be announced later this month, alongside two other new Redmi Note 9 series phones.
