Recently, Xiaomi has released the Android 11 beta update with version 20.9.8 for a few of its devices in China. The MIUI 12 beta update version 20.9.9 for Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 8 variants has been delayed again.

Many of the Xiaomi devices already received the MIUI 12 update, but users of both the devices will have to wait more for the stable MIUI 12 update. This update has postponed due to some stability issues.
In July, the Redmi Note 7 received the MIUI 12 update for the Mi Pilot program members. Recently, the MIUI 11-based software update released for Redmi Note 7. The development of the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 8 has been quite slow but we expect the MIUI 12 to be released soon for these devices.
