Xiaomi released the MIUI 12 update for several devices in different regions. The latest MIUI 12 update already rolled out for Redmi 9 users in China but the global users are still waiting for this update.

In August, the MIUI 12 beta stable update was re-released for Redmi 9 in China as version 12.0.1.0.QJCCNXM. Last month, this device received the MIUI 11-based September 2020 security patch for Global variants.
Now, according to the latest information, the Redmi 9 MIUI update should start rolling out to the global units either this month or by November. There is no ETA as update is still under testing.

Due to the National Day 2020 holidays in China, Xiaomi MIUI 12 closed and public beta development to remain suspended between September 30 to October 12. The MIUI 12 update rollout will highly affect by these holidays.
