Xiaomi is officially releasing a new MIUI 12.5 beta update with version 21.2.23 in China. The new beta update brings new features and optimizations for Gallery to enhance the experience.

This update optimizes the performance of the album and the display effect of the screenshot/photo album. It comes with album covers customization as well as picture editing enhancement parameters for natural saturation.

- Optimize the performance of the album, fix several problems, and improve the experience of using the album
- Optimized the display effect of screenshots and photo albums
- The album cover supports customization and can be replaced with any picture in the album
- Picture editing enhancement parameters Natural saturation, vignetting added negative adjustment options, vignetting was renamed to vignetting.
Furthermore, the internal beta testing of development versions for Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Mi CC9e will stop from 24 April 2021.
In the previous MIUI 12.5 beta version, the Reject and Don’t Ask Again option in the quick app and picture viewing mode to the browser added as well as fixed the issue that the text display of individual pop-up windows is not centered.
