Xiaomi rolled out the October 2021 Android security patch for Mi 10i users in India a few days ago. Although the changelog for the update didn’t mention, after you update your phone you will see the new version inside the software updates support section that is MIUI 12.5 Enhanced (via).

Xiaomi is rolling out a new software update for Mi 10i smartphones in India. This firmware mainly installs the October 2021 Android security patch for better system security.
This security update helps in protecting the phone from bugs and viruses that affect system performance. You might not notice any fancy new features when you install it, but it is very important nonetheless.

Previously, the device received an MIUI 12.5 update, which made the MI 10i lighter, faster, and durable, when compared to the old MIUI. In addition, it installed a bunch of new features, fixes, and several changes.

Xiaomi Mi 10i users can identify the latest update via the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 version V12.5.3.0.RJSINXM. It weighs 662MB, to install this, we suggest you use an unmetered connection or WiFi.

How to Download:
At the moment, we don’t have a link to download the update. You can download it manually by following the simple steps. It should be mentioned that this is a staged rollout and will not be available for all users, some should wait for a few days.
- Open Settings of your phone
- Go to System Updates
- Click on Download and Install
- Once installed, Restart your phone
Before you Download:
- This update will not harm your data but make sure to prepare a backup before downloading the firmware.
- Your phone’s battery should be charged, at least 30%.
