Earlier this month, Xiaomi rolled out a new January and December security patch for Redmi 9 in Europe that brings new features and optimizes the full-screen gesture, system animations in some scenarios, Control center layout, Dark mode brightness, and more.
Now, Redmi 9 is getting a new software update in Indonesia, which installs the latest Android patch released in February 2021 to enhance the system security.

However, there’s no additional change or feature noted in the update. Currently, the update is rolling out for Indonesian variants and it will soon expand in other regions.
The software version of this update comes with the MIUI 12 based version V12.0.2.0.QJCIDXM and users will have to download a 2.0GB software package to install the udpate. Below you can check the download link and changelog of this update.

Apart from this, Xiaomi recently released the February security patch for Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G users. The company will soon expand this udpate to other eligible devices.
