Xiaomi has started to expand March 2021 security update for Redmi Note 9S users in Europe and Russia. It improves the system security by installing the latest Android patches.

In March 2020, Xiaomi has unveiled a new smartphone in the Note 9 series, Redmi Note 9S powered by Snapdragon 720G. It brings a 6.67 inches LCD display with 2K QHD resolution, a 5020 mAh battery, and more.

In terms of mobile software, the Redmi Note 9S initially launched with MIUI 11 based on Android 10, and is also eligible to install the latest Android 11. Last October, this device upgraded to the MIUI 12, which brought a bunch of new features.
Now, Xiaomi began sending a new software update for Redmi Note 9S that brings security patch released in March 2021 for improves system security.
The firmware version of this update is V12.0.4.0.QJWTRXM and users will have to download a 2.5GB software package to install the update. Below you can check the download link and changelog of this update.
