Xiaomi has started to rollout a new software update with the June security patch for Xiaomi Mi 8 and Mi 8 Pro users. This update improves the system security via Android patches released in June 2020.

This new update is based on the MIUI 11 (Android 10) and this could be the last MIUI 11 based update for these devices. We expect the upcoming stable MIUI 12 build to also be released with at least the July 2020 patch.
The software version of the June update for Mi 8 is V11.0.4.0.QEARUXM. On another side, Mi 8 Pro comes with the V11.0.4.0.QECRUXM software version. Users can download the latest software update link mentioned below.
Currently, this update has rolled out for Russia variants and soon this June security patch will be expanded for Global variants. However, no additional features noted in this new update.
