Xiaomi has started to rollout an MIUI 12.5 update for Mi MIX 3 users in China. The new update comes with a bunch of new features and optimizations to enhance the device performance.

Identified via OTA build version – V12.5.1.0.QEECNXM, the Mi MIX 3 Android 10 based MIUI 12.5 update is making its way to the Chinese market. In addition, it installs the latest security patch for better device security.
As per the mentioned changelog, the new update optimizes the system stability and reduces system lag. However, it is an initial rollout, it may take some time to be available globally. Meanwhile, if you own a Mi MIX 3 device, check for the update manually.

MIUI 12.5
MIU 12.5 comes with a set of new features to enhance the users’ experience and device performance. It brings Dynamic layouts to bring the typography in Notes to a new level and it adds press and holds a sketch to adjust the strokes automatically function, a gesture shortcut now allows you to create notes, tasks, and excerpts anywhere, new tools for doodling and sketching, and more.
In addition, the excerpts now save text, URLs, and images to Notes in a few simple taps. The dynamic layouts bring the typography in Notes to a new level. With 20 times more rendering power, there are now few limits to what you can see on your screen.
