Most of the eligible phones that have a Chinese counterpart have already picked up Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 12 update such as the Redmi Note 9 which is known as Redmi 10X 4G moniker in China, already got this update.
Xiaomi is delaying the MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9S, and the Redmi Note 8T. These devices users will have to wait for Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 12 update.
Basically, Xiaomi prepares the MIUI 12 update firstly for the China ROM, then it ports the same update to devices on other ROMs. These devices do not have a Chinese counterpart, Xiaomi has to develop MIUI 12 from scratch for those devices which could be the main reason that updates are yet to be released for these units.
