Xiaomi has kicked off a stable MIUI 12 update for Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A, which brings with a bundle of new features and improvements for a better user experience. Currently, the update is rolling out for Chinese variants and soon it’ll expand in other regions.

MIUI 12 update for Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A comes with the software version of V12.0.2.0.PCGCNXM and V12.0.2.0.PCBCNXM respectively.
According to the official statement from Xiaomi China, MIUI 12 stable update released for the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A but due to the insufficient hardware performance of the two models, the MIUI 12 stable version cannot meet the OTA full release Redmi 6/6A quality standards.
However, after consideration, these two models do not do OTA full push, but only provided, for those who want to try it out are the line flashing package. After upgrading MIUI 12 stable version, the device may not run smoothly and there will be slow application startup, data loss may also occur.
