Currently, Xiaomi is rolling out MIUI 12.5 beta update to its eligible devices. Back in December 2020, Xiaomi released its newest version of MIUI, MIUI 12.5 at the Mi 11 launch conference. Later, the company launched this update globally.
MIUI 12.5 comes with the support of Android gesture Turbo which provides an extremely fast response in the system and upgraded its computing power. It also brings system animation design, new light Cone dynamic effect architecture, System sound design, hundreds of global biological sounds, new snow mountain super wallpaper, and more.

Now, the OEM has started sending out an update for older smartphones running on Android 10 Xiaomi Mi 8. The phone was launched in 2018 with the Android 8 operating system.
In the meantime, the tech giant is also providing MIUI 12.5 beta updates in its home country. The latest can be identified via the build version 21.6.21.
The new MIUI 12.5 beta update fixes the exception that the notification bar fails to the dropdown. Also, it optimizes the dark mode display of the notification bar.
