New security update rolling out for Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, and A20
Back in September 2020, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ had received the September 2020 security update. And now, the company has started to roll out a new firmware update with security improvements for these smartphones.
As per the info, Samsung sending the October 2020 security patches for the Galaxy S8 lineup phones with build versions: G950FXXSBDTJ1 and G955FXXSBDTJ1 for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ respectively. The Galaxy S8 is an older flagship lineup that comes with pre-installed Android 7.
Later on, the company has provided two major Android upgrades and completed its platform upgrade lifecycle. Still, these phones are eligible to get quarterly security updates until four years of their launch date.

Samsung Galaxy A20: January 2021 Security Patch
The T-Mobile locked Samsung Galaxy A20 devices have started collecting the January 2021 security update (build version: A205USQS8BTL2) in the US. It brings system security improvements as well as enhancements for its system software for a better user experience.
