New Smart Charging mode and August 2020 security update rolling out for Honor V9

Honor V9 bagging a new software update that brings security patch released in August 2020 for better system security and added a Smart charging mode as well as an intelligent peak capacity system that effectively reduces battery aging.

Honor has also released the software update for Honor 10 Lite, which brings September 2020 security patch for system security enhancement.

  • Honor V9 (DUK-TL30)

NEW VERSION:

  • Honor V9 upgrade to EMUI 9.1.0.226 from EMUI 9.1.0.225

  • Integrated Android security patches released in August 2020 for improved system security

  • The update will not erase any data
  • Update size may vary sometimes
  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to WiFi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device
  2. Click on system & updates
  3. Click on the software update
  4. Check for update
  5. Click on the download button
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen
  8. Reboot the device

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device
  2. If not installed, download it from the play store
  3. Open service tab
  4. Tap on update
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen
  9. Reboot the device
