New Software Update: Galaxy S10/S20, Galaxy Note 10/Note 20, Galaxy A52/A41/M51/XCover 4S, Galaxy S21, and More [July 2021 Security Patch]
Samsung is now rolling out a new software update for the series of Galaxy smartphones. The smartphones currently receiving the latest security update are Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 10/Note 20, Galaxy A52/A41/XCover 4S, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy Fold. Let’s talk about them individually.

Samsung Galaxy S10:
Verizon has started sending the July 2021 security patch with a new firmware update to the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+ in the US (via Sammy Fans).
Software versions:
- Galaxy S10e – G970USQS5GUF1
- Galaxy S10 – G973USQS5GUF1
- Galaxy S10 Plus – G975USQS5GUF1
Samsung Galaxy S20:
Samsung is now rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy S20 flagship series users in South Korea. The update improves the system security by installing the latest Android and One UI patches released in July 2021.
Apart from the security improvements, the new Galaxy S20 lineup software update comes with an additional feature related to the communication function called – “chat + message send cancellation”.
Samsung Galaxy S20 series users can identify the July update via PDA build numbers: G981NKSU1DUFA, G986NKSU1DUFA, and G988NKSU1DUFA for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra respectively (via Sammy Fans).
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 20:
- Samsung Galaxy Note 10:
- According to Sammy Fans, the carrier unlocked Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ units are now getting the July 2021 security patch with the latest software update in the US. In the US, consumers can identify the update via PDA build number N970U1UES6FUF1 and N975U1UES6FUF1 for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ respectively. Furthermore, it is rolling out for various carriers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Xfinity Mobile.
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20:
- Samsung started sending the July 2021 security update to the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra users in India. The latest software update comes with PDA version numbers N981BXXU2DUF8 and N986BXXU2DUF8 for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra respectively (via Sammy Fans).
Samsung Galaxy M51:
The Galaxy M51 is now getting a new software update in Russia and Ukraine. The latest update, which shares firmware version M515FXXU3CUG1, includes the July 2021 security patch (via Sammy Fans).
Samsung Galaxy A52 5G:
According to Sammy Fans, the Galaxy A52 5G is the latest smartphone to join the party with the July 2021 security patch. Identified via PDA version number: A526BXXS1AUG1, the new Galaxy A52 5G firmware update comes with the latest July 2021 security patch first for European users, however, it’s expected to cross the boundaries of Europe in the coming days or weeks.
Samsung Galaxy A41 and Galaxy XCover 4S:
pushed a new firmware update for the Galaxy A41 and Galaxy XCover 4s smartphones in Russia and the Nordic region respectively. The update brings the latest Android and One UI patches released in July 2021 for better system security. Users can identify the update through version numbers: A415FXXS1CUG1 and G398FNXXUCCUG1 for the Galaxy A41 and Galaxy XCover 4s respectively (via Sammy Fans).
Samsung Galaxy S21:
Samsung Galaxy S21 series July 2021 security update is now rolling out to more countries such as India and UK (via Sammy Fans).
Samsung Galaxy Fold:
The July 2021 security patch is available for the unlocked Galaxy Fold in the US and the update can be identified by software version F900U1UES5EUF1.
Samsung Galaxy A01:
Samsung Galaxy A01 is now getting the July 2021 security patch with the software version A015MUBU4BUG2.
