Nothing Phone (2) gets first update with huge list of features and improvements

Nothing Phone (2) is the newly launched smartphone in the market which is now receiving its first update. The latest firmware is arriving with a huge list of new features and improvements for the iconic handset. In addition, a few fixes are coming to provide a bug-free experience to users.

Looking into the details, the first update for the Phone (2) is arriving on the Nothing OS 2.0 surface. It includes new changes related to the lock screen, home screen, and the most-discussed Glyph Interface. In addition, there are improvements for the camera section and general fixes.

New Features

  • Introducing the Glyph Composer app. Now you can compose your custom Glyph sequences and set them as your ringtone.
  • Introducing Glyph Progress for Uber. This is an experimental feature that displays the progress of an incoming Uber ride on the Glyph Interface. Though it is in the testing phase, you may experience some inconsistencies.
  • Widgets can now be added to the lock screen/AOD.
  • Added Quick Settings widgets. You can add your most used Quick Settings tiles directly to your home screen or lock screen.
  • Added new Nothing Machines style ringtones and notification sounds from Phone (1), which have been adjusted to match Phone (2)’s design.
  • Added 4 new wallpapers.
  • Added one-handed mode.

  • Enhanced low-light camera performance.
  • Improved HDR camera effect.
  • Improved clarity of motion capture.
  • Enhanced network performance for certain carriers.
  • Reduced power consumption during data transfer.
  • Improved Glyph Interface display logic when the device is unlocked.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved foggy image issues when using the front camera in backlight conditions.
  • Fixed some Glyph related issues.
  • Fixed some app lock-related issues.
  • Fixed a rare issue causing Quick Settings to load slower than usual.
