The Android 11 based One UI 3.1 is now available on most of the Galaxy devices while there are many which are yet to get this latest update. While this version has its origin from the original One UI 3.0 which is the first to install the Android 11 OS for the Galaxy devices.
The One UI 3.1 was initially rolled out with the Galaxy Tab S7 and then gradually expanded for the other eligible devices. This version was already came pre-installed with the Galaxy S21 phones. The Galaxy Note 10 and S10 users have also got to taste this latest version and will also be getting upcoming Android 12 based One UI 4.0, as per Samsung update policy.
A disappointing thing to note here is that the Galaxy Note 9 and S9 users won’t be able to get any further major upgrades and these devices will remain on the older Android 10 version. Despite this, the Note 9 users can get the taste of the Android 11 update by installing it manually.

The folks of XDADevelopers have managed to port the Android 11 based One UI 3.1 firmware for the Galaxy Note 9 smartphones. This One UI 3.1 ROM is known as the Noble ROM that works with both the single SIM (SM-N960F) and dual SIM (SM-N960FD) variants.
This ROM has some added customizations as per the requirements, however, the important thing to note is that there are some bugs and also some of the features are missing as it’s an initial version of all ROM. This new update also brings the latest March 2021 security patch for improved system security and device stability.
Below are the observed issues:
- Live Focus is at the moment bugged. Camera won’t force close so it’s fine.
- Since Galaxy N10 Samsung removed Irises Biometric Unlock and Smart Scan too, so in this ROM isn’t available
- This is the first release. It has been tested for days, but some minor bugs could be faced by someone.
