This advancement promises to empower users with a deeper understanding of their device’s storage usage, leading to better management of available space.

As per the information, Samsung updated the system storage metrics, making it more accurate in Android 14-based One UI 6. In the Galaxy S23 series, the One UI 5.1 software displays system files occupied a whopping 60GB of storage, which is about 25% of the 256GB variant.

The storage breakdown in One UI 6.0 now lists this disparity in storage under “other apps,” and now accurately shows the total storage used by system files as just over 16 GB.

One UI 6’s new storage metrics transforming the way users interact with and comprehend their storage usage. By offering an intuitive and insightful way to monitor and manage storage, Samsung empowers users to make informed decisions about their device’s content.
