Samsung Galaxy S22 series was debuted with the leading and latest operating system of Samsung, One UI 4.1 based on Android 12, now the South Korean tech giant providing its x.1 iteration to several older Galaxy devices via software updates.
Samsung showcased the new features and changes of the One UI’s 4.1 variant, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022, in which we can see the Smart Calendar. The advanced Samsung Calendar app can now see dates and times in messages and suggest them as events to Galaxy users.
The new feature also works with KakaoTalk, Line, WhatsApp, Hangout, Facebook Messenger, Viber, Google Chat, and Signal. Using this feature, consumers can easily schedule events directly from their beloved social media platform.
Aside from these mentioned apps, it’s not yet confirmed whether the Smart Calendar support will be expanded to more third parties or not. Yet, we can expect the arrival of this feature to more Galaxy devices with the One UI 4.1 update in the coming days.
One UI 4.1
Samsung introduced the new One UI 4.1 software, based on Android 12. Along with the Galaxy S22 series smartphones, the new version of One UI will be rolled out to several Android 12 supported Galaxy devices in near future, however, the last year’s flagship phones will get it very soon.
