OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro OxygenOS 12.1 C.33 update brings July 2022 patch with fingerprint optimizations

We have entered the new month (August 2022) and still, some OnePlus smartphones are yet to receive the July 2022 patch. Recently, the brand started rolling out the new OxygenOS 12 hotfix update – C.33 for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone users with some bug fixes.

“JOIN ONEPLUS ON TELEGRAM”

The new firmware update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro comes with firmware version C.33 including the latest security patch level to July and also improves system stability. The update also fixes several bugs, fixes for fingerprint unlocking, random mobile network crashes, and connectivity issues.

The latest software update is rolling out gradually for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. This means that it will initially be available to a small percentage of users. After the company confirmed that there are no major bugs in the new build, the update will be available to all users in the next few days.

This OTA (Over The Air) update is released in phases and may take some time to reach you. We recommend that you back up important files before proceeding with the update. Also, before proceeding with the update, make sure that your device is about 80% charged.

If your device hasn’t received the update, you can check manually by going to Settings > About device > Software update.
