The month of August is about to end and the Chinese smartphone maker has released the August 2022 Android security patch for some OnePlus smartphones. Recently, the OnePlus 9 series devices got new camera features in the August 2022 patch and now the Nord N100 phone has started receiving this month’s update.

Currently, the August 2022 security patch update is rolling out for North American OnePlus Nord N100 smartphone users which brings an upgraded OxygenOS 11.0.8 (NA) version.
According to the official changelog, this update includes the August 2022 SMR (Security Maintenance Release) and some additional stability improvements. The new security patch fixes more than a dozen vulnerabilities that are affecting device performance.
As always, the company may roll out the update in batches, so it may take a few days for the update to arrive on your smartphone. Android OEMs follow a gradual release pattern to minimize the impact of bugs affecting the stability of the system.
