OnePlus has now started the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 open beta program for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro in India. Along with several new features, the update also adds 5G supports for Airtel network users.

- OxygenOS 13 Closed Beta program started
Recently, OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 13 CBT update for the OnePlus 9RT, and now the company is also offering an Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 closed beta program for the OnePlus 8 series smartphone users in India.
This new build provides an opportunity to test Android 13 and OxygenOS 13 software and improve the overall user experience. And in the second half or in late 2022, a stable update will be released for eligible OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro devices.
Testers are often the first to try new things. They have bugs and can be very bad, so companies want beta testers to try them first. If you have the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro in India, please refer to the official post on the OnePlus forum to apply.

The closed beta testing phase will be shorter than before, so the company will release only a few versions of OxygenOS 13 during this time. To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

- You are using the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro India variants.
- You are an active member of the OnePlus community.
- Willing to contact the OnePlus Telegram team regularly to report problems and suggestions.
- The CBT version is not a stable version yet under development. After upgrading to the CBT version, you have to be patient and tolerate volatility and accept all risks.
It’s also worth noting that this program may require a Flash build, which requires a clean Flash. This means that it causes data loss. Hence, it is highly recommended that you always remember to save all your data.
