OxygenOS 13.1 has started hyping OnePlus phone users’ expectations. Consumers are looking forward to seeing some thoughtful modifications and improvements in the upcoming operating system. In the latest edition, users have added a new term to the wishlist – OnePlus should improve and enhance the app snippets feature with OxygenOS 13.1.
For those who are unaware, the App Snippets feature is similar to the App Clips in iPhone, but functions differently. While App Clip allows you to complete a quick task from a particular app without installing, the App Snippet feature allows you to perform some instant actions without even entering or opening the entire application.

In other words, with the App Snippets feature you can long-press any app which results in a pop-up menu consisting of a few functions. These functions will enable you to complete a handful of tasks without going into the application. For instance, you can look at the camera modes and can directly open that mode without entering the camera app. If you want to close it, you just need to tap/touch another part of the screen to collapse the App Snippets.

Although, OnePlus has maintained this feature effectively with the latest OxygenOS 13 firmware. However, a few apps still show only limited functions while enabling the App Snippets feature. A good example is the phone and message app that only shows one function to operate.
Another significant point is, the system apps are the ones that limit to 1 or 2 functions. Meanwhile, the third-party applications provide at least 4-5 options to manage a handful of tasks. Thus, OnePlus should improve and revamp the app snippets feature with the upcoming OxygenOS 13.1 operating system, by adding some more options on the surface.
App Snippets is surely an interesting and useful feature and provides you access to most of the key features of an app. It would be more beneficial if the company make appealing changes to this feature in the time ahead.
