Earlier, the OnePlus 9RT was under expectations to receive the OxygenOS 12 closed beta program in India by the end of March or early April. However, things don’t always work as they seem to be. But eventually, the company started the internal testing and we could expect the Android 12 stable update within 2-3 weeks.
What is a Closed Beta Program?
The closed beta program is a testing phase of the software before unveiling it publicly. The registered beta testers inspect the software and respond to the manufacturer with their feedback. Further, the manufacturer read those responses and improves minor bugs and issues, if required. After the successful accomplishment of the first step, the company moves on to the second one – Open Beta Program.
How to become a beta tester?
The users must fulfill the given requirements to become eligible for the beta testing program:
- Must own a OnePlus 9RT of India variant
- The user should be an active OnePlus Community member
- Users should be able to inform bugs/issues/suggestions to the developers
- Must be able to handle some bugs with CBT versions that could impact the stability of the device
