Before we begin, note that OnePlus has only announced this beta for a few devices at the moment. Besides, the closed beta program appears with a limited number of slots. Hence, participants will have to wait for the application to be approved by the company.
Let’s dive into the instructions to sign up for OxygenOS 14 beta.
Initially, you need to confirm that your handset has been updated to a compatible baseline version. Ahead, visit the Settings app on your phone and follow the below-given steps:
- Select the About Device section
- Tap up-to-date
- Click on the icon at the top-right corner of the screen
- Select the Beta Program label
From here, you can follow the on-screen steps and fill out the update application. Once done, click on the submit button and wait patiently. In case you are not selected, wait for the open beta channels.
Thereafter, the company will review the application within 5 workdays after the application channel is closed. On passing this process, you will receive the first beta build in 3 workdays. To download it, once again head to Settings > About Device > Download Now.
Note: After application verification, you will receive a Telegram group invitation via message. Thus, make sure to enter your details carefully for easy contact.
Important Notes:
Before you download this update, note that this is a test build and may delete any of your data. Hence, we suggest to back up your essential files. Besides, the firmware needs at least 8GB of storage on your phone, which will be deleted once the software is installed.
Also, download the latest app versions to reduce compatibility issues. In case you encounter bugs, you can report them to help developers in improving the software before the public release.
