Well, the Android 11 update is all around and several users are already enjoying its latest features. It is worth mentioning that the only company which surprised us in the rollout period of this latest upgrade is Samsung. This time, the South Korean tech giant has impressed everyone by including the budget handsets for the beta testing of its One UI 3.0.
On the other hand, OnePlus has not been that accurate in the procedure, several devices from the Chinese phone maker are still getting Open Betas and there is some more time in the stable rollout. The OnePlus 6 series on the other hand is the older flagship model from the company which was launched with a pre-installed Android 8 Oreo-based OxygenOS.
Both variants of the series, OnePlus 6 and 6T have received the official Android 10 upgrades and surely these devices will also get the latest Android 11 based OxygenOS 11. Previously it was expected that these phones will be getting the latest version in 2020 itself, while the users are still waiting for this update to hit their smartphone.
Introduced back in 2020, the latest Android 11 comes with various new and exciting features such as a new power menu, refreshed user interface, bubble notifications, and much more. Based on this Android version, the OxygenOS 11 is already available for other OnePlus phones including the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 7 series.

OmePlus has not officially announced anything about the OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus 6 series phones. But in the answer to the question of OnePlus 6 users, the forum member said that this update will be rolled out for these devices in the month of August. Read more here

The important thing to note here is that the OnePlus Nord which is a mid-range smartphone has already received OxygenOS 11 update, while the OnePlus 6 users which should have got this upgrade till now are still waiting. And till now there are no words from the company for this rollout.

Meanwhile, these smartphones have recently received February 2021 security update and we were expecting that this update will also bring OxygenOS 11 upgrade. But unfortunately, there is some more time till the OnePlus 6 users will get to have the taste of Android 11.
Well, there are no words from the company regarding the Android 11 update for the OnePlus 6 phones. But as the other phones are coming towards the stable release from the Open Beta updates, it seems that these older devices will also soon get this update.
