Last week, Google released the Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2.1 update for Pixel users, and the beta testers are observing a bug in the Pixel Launcher Search feature just after installing the beta 2.1 update.

According to 9TO5Google, the Pixel Launcher search feature has broken after installing the Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2.1 update. Notably, this particular bug was not available in previous beta versions.

To be mentioned, the Pixel Launcher will work normally when you enter a query and tap an app from the top row of results or one of the first few Google Search suggestions. But it will start crashing as soon as you scroll down to see other things from the web.

If you are participating in the Android 13 QPR2 beta 2.1 update, then you may observe some abnormal behavior of the Pixel Launcher. Especially, when you open app sections like Settings, Play Store, and YouTube/Maps search shortcuts.

The Pixel Launcher search crashing will remove all the queries you just entered and will suddenly close the keyboard. If you attempt to enter another term and scroll, the search might work for a brief moment but the Pixel Launcher will then crash to your home screen.

Further, you will only see the prompt showing Pixel Launcher keeps stopping. To be mentioned, this issue does not exist on the latest QPR1 stable version update. We can expect that the company will rectify this issue with the upcoming version.
