POCO X5 5G first major update installs MIUI 14 features
POCO X5 5G smartphones are receiving their first major update as the MIUI 14 based on Android 13. This new software comes with a bundle of outstanding features and optimizations, which will make this recently launched device a prominent one.
POCO X5 5G is a newly released device that comes pre-installed with MIUI 13 based on Android 12, 6.67 inch FHD+ AMOLED Display, and more. However, the device is now getting MIUI 14 offerings, which will provide POCO X5 5G users more adequate user experience.
For recall, the device has received the February 2023 security patch as its first update, and now the MIUI 14 has become its foremost major update. Additionally, the update comes with build version V14.0.2.0.TMPEUXM, and carries a download package of 3.5GB.

As per the information, the MIUI 14 is the more swift and reliable version of Xiaomi’s custom skin so far. It even uses less memory and incorporates various elements of Android 13. Simultaneously, it also brings March 2023 security patch for improved performance.
MIUI 14 obtains an improved system architecture to boost the performance of both pre-installed and third-party apps while saving power. The new super icons and big folders are added to provide your device with a new look and feel along with a reimagined user interface.
Furthermore, with MIUI 14, more than 30 scenes support end-to-end privacy with no data stored in the cloud and all actions performed locally on the device. You will also notice changes in the settings menu like bold text and a clean look. It also adds various enhancements to Family Services.
Not only this but there is much more to explore such as better interconnectivity, the ability to block notifications permanently, and much more. However, the update is initially rolling out in Indonesia and will expand to more region users in the coming days or weeks.
Hence, if you are in Indonesia and operating POCO X5 5G as your daily driver. Then keep checking the system and update section of your device. Because the update is released through the OTA method, it may reach your device anytime.
Before moving towards the upgradation process don’t forget to back up all the important items and also expect overheating and other performance issues. The update might take some time for your device to adapt to the new version and remember that some third-party apps aren’t yet compatible with Android 13 and you might not be able to use them normally.
