Realme 9/9 5G Speed Edition Software Update
UPDATE 4: June 17 (01:17 ET) – Realme 9 June 2022 security update
Realme started rolling out the latest June 2022 Android security update to its devices. Starting today, Realme 9 smartphone users started getting June 2022 update that brings fixes for display issues with Lock Screen Magazine after you restart your phone.
Talking about the June 2022 security update, the latest Android security patch addressed 23 security issues. As the changelog shows, the security patch is primarily meant to improve the performance of the entire system and enhance the security of the smartphone.
Your phone might have detected a new OTA update and is showing a notification about it! If it isn’t, then simply check for the latest software update by going to your Realme 9 5G’s Settings, scrolling down, and finding the Software update option.
Now, the phone will get a new OTA, if it appears on the screen, hit the download button, followed by Install.

UPDATE 3: May 26 (02:25 ET) – 3rd Realme 9 May 2022 security update
Realme 9 smartphone starts third firmware update, which carries the build number A.12. This new software update brings May 2022 Android security patch for better device stability.
Apart from the latest level of Android security patches, the Realme 9 A.12 update also fixes some known issues for better system performance. Meanwhile, the changelog mentions adding a new OTG switch to seamlessly pair the accessories with the smartphone.

Realme pushed a new firmware update with version A.05 to the Realme 9 5G in India. As per the official info, this update comes with just optimization for the system performance and stability.
Other than this, there’s no mention of the security patch upgrade or the addition of any new feature in the changelog. However, we’ve attached the official release notes below.

UPDATE 1: May 20 (23:08 ET) – Realme 9 5G Speed Edition May 2022 security update
Realme 9 5G Speed Edition is now getting a new software update with version A.09. It brings the latest security patch, April and May 2022. Along with the patch, it also brings some fixes and optimization. You can check the complete changelog below.
To ensure the stability of this update, it will have a phased rollout. The update will be pushed randomly to a limited number of users today and will have a wider rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed in the coming days.
