Redmi 10C smartphone users have now begun collecting a new software update, which brings the May 2023 Android security patch. The latest firmware will work to improve the core mechanism of the device and make it more reliable for precise performance and optimized user experience.
It’s an initial rollout and the May 2023 security update is currently rolling out for the Redmi 10C device in the Global market, however, the firm will expand the reach of the patch to more market users soon. Additionally, the firmware comes with MIUI build version V13.0.8.0.SGEMIXM and includes a 2.9GB package size.
Moving on, the update didn’t contain any additional features or major changes for your Redmi device. Although, it will surely enhance the security and stability of your smartphone and further optimize the overall running of the device. The patch will also help to fix some bugs and glitches that may have been discovered in the system.
Accordingly, the update is rolling out through the OTA (over the air) method, so it may take some time to get available for every eligible unit in the mentioned countries. In case you don’t want to wait for the update to reach, then you can go with the manual downloading method.
Open the Settings app on your phone, scroll down, and hit About Phone. From this screen, choose System Updates. Find the most recent update, then click the Download and Install button when it appears. Restart your phone after installation.
