On August 1, Xiaomi unveiled a crystal-like design featuring smartphone, the Redmi 12 5G in India, therefore, the device is now receiving its first MIUI update in the form of an August 2023 security patch.
This new firmware will elevate the device’s functioning and enhance the safety and security grades. In addition, the first MIUI update of Redmi 12 5G will also protect the system from harmful threats and offer an optimized or we can say seamless user experience for the users living in India.
Other than these common enhancements the changelog of the patch didn’t include any new features or major changes. Users of the corresponding device can identify the August 2023 update via the MIUI build version V14.0.4.0.TMWINXM and need to download a 4.1GB package size.
However, the latest update is appearing via the OTA (Over The Air) distribution method in the country. As a result, it will take a few days to reach all the eligible units. However, users can opt for the manual method to download the latest August 2022 update immediately.
For this all you need to do is visit Settings app > tap on About Phone > Click System Updates > Press MIUI version > Hit Download & Install.
