After becoming available in India and Global regions, the August 2023 security patch is now making its way to Redmi Note 12 5G smartphones in China. The firmware aims to enhance the device’s security and provide users with a safe and secure mobile experience.
Simultaneously, the consumers of Redmi Note 12 5G will be able to identify the August 2023 security patch via the MIUI build version V14.0.8.0.TMQCNXM in China. In addition, the fixes and improvements of the latest firmware are included in a 4.2GB package size, thus, make sure to opt for a stable Wi-Fi connection.
However, the update is hovering in China via the OTA medium. As a result, it will take some time to get available for all the eligible units. But in case you don’t want to wait for the firmware, then you can go with the manual downloading process, to do so.

- Tap on System Updates
- Press the Download & Install tab
