After removal, Samsung added back the Galaxy Fold 5G for monthly security updates
On February 2, Samsung published the details of its February 2021 security patch. As mentioned in the security bulletin, Samsung’s latest security patch brings fixes for 32 high and 4 critical levels of CVEs.
In addition to the new security bulletin, the company has also released the revised list of eligible Galaxy devices that will get monthly/quarterly/other software updates. Yesterday, Samsung has mistakenly removed the Galaxy Z Fold 5G from the list of eligible devices.
Now, as per the official information, the company has again added the Galaxy Fold 5G in the monthly security updates schedule. However, the first-gen foldable smartphone has already started receiving the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update with January 2021′ security patch. We can expect, Samsung will soon release this month’s security update for Galaxy Fold 5G soon.

As we know, Samsung provides four years of security updates including two years of monthly security patches from the launch date of the device. After the removal of Galaxy Fold 5G from security updates, some blogs reported about Samsung’s this move, also criticized.
