In August 2021, Samsung introduced the Android 12-based One UI 4 beta program for Galaxy S21 series devices in South Korea and 6 other regions. Subsequently, the company stated that the beta program has ended, and recommended that consumers wait for the stable release.

Now, it seems like the Korean tech giant will soon start the One UI 4 beta activity for the Galaxy S20 series of smartphones. According to the information, Samsung is preparing to open the Android 12-based One UI 4 beta program in South Korea for the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra.
Furthermore, Samsung has officially stated that the firmware with the version number ending EUI4 will be the last software update based on Android 11 for the Galaxy S20 series phones. This means that the Android 12-based One UI 4 beta is on the way for last year’s Galaxy S flagship series.
Apart from South Korea, Samsung may also begin the Android 12 One UI 4 beta program for the Galaxy S20 series in the United States, India, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, and China. The exact release schedule is not clear yet, but you can look forward to it this month.
Samsung’s Android 12 update comes with a host of new features, such as a redesigned user interface, improved icons, and the Material You theme engine. In addition, One UI 4.0 also improves all stock applications, adds more lock screen widgets, switches quick settings to turn off camera and microphone access, and so on.
