Samsung Galaxy A42 5G smartphone users have started receiving the latest Android 12-based One UI 4.1 major software update in the US. However, this update is rolling out for the carrier-unlocked version of the Galaxy A42 5G smartphone and is currently available on Bluegrass Cellular’s network.
Earlier this year, Samsung released the One UI 4.1 (Android 12) major OS update for several mid-range smartphones including Galaxy A42 5G. So far, the corresponding device users in Italy and South Korea have installed the latest update.
According to the information, the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update for Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is rolling out with version A426U1UEU3BVD5. In addition to Android 12 features, it also includes the security patch released in March 2022 for improved system security.
To install the update, the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G users need to open the settings menu, tap on software update and then hit the download and install option. Ahead of this, make sure that your device should be charged 30% or above and have sufficient storage.

The Galaxy A42 users with One UI 4.1 based on Andriod 12 get a new UI design with the Color Palette feature, new widget styling, and a better sharing option. Also, it improves privacy and security through privacy indicators, privacy dashboards, and quick settings toggle to enable/disable the camera and microphone.
Further, the AR Emoji and accessibility features have been improved. Additionally, Samsung also optimizes its all stock apps, including Device Care, Samsung Calendar, Samsung Internet, Samsung Keyboard, and Samsung My Files. Bixby and Bixby Routines have received various new options and conditions.
