One UI 3.1 update now rolling out for Samsung Galaxy M31 in India alongside March 2021 security patch
Recently, the Galaxy M31s gets the latest One UI 3.1 update by skipping the One UI 3.0. This update also added all the bells and whistles of Android 11 including chat bubbles, better privacy controls, notification history, built-in screen recording, and more.
Now, the company is releasing this major Android update to another mid-range smartphone that is the Galaxy M31. Apart from the One UI 3.1, this update also includes the March 2021 security patch that improves the system security and a better overall experience.
The latest firmware update for the Galaxy M31 bears a firmware version of M315FXXU2BUC1. Users will get all the goodies of Android 11 and One UI 3.1 with this new software update. However, the changelog does not show any major changes, but the package size (1194MB) of this update provides no confirmation.

If the Galaxy M31 users in India haven’t yet received this latest firmware update via OTA then they can also check it by going through Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install.
Here’s Samsung’s revised 4-year software update policy
The Korean firm has recently announced that most of the Galaxy devices will be receiving four years of software support. While there will be two or three major upgrades and security improvements for up to four years. With its new updates policy, Samsung has proved to be better than any other OEM in terms of software updates.
