Samsung Galaxy Note 20 receiving March 2021 security update

Starting from the Galaxy Note 10, the March 2021 security update has reached plenty of Galaxy devices. And now, Samsung is rolling out these security improvements for the Galaxy Note 20 series. The security update brings improvements in system stability and security to protect it from any external threats.

The latest update for the Galaxy Note 20 5G and Note 20 Ultra 5G can be identified via the software version N981BXXS1DUC1 and N986BXXS1DUC1 respectively. It is important to note that the update is currently rolling out for the users in Europe and will soon expand to other regions as well.

According to Samsung, the March 2021 security update brings fixes for 4 critical bugs and also fixes 26 other vulnerabilities. Apart from the security improvements, this latest software update does not add any new features to the devices.

If you haven’t received the update on your device via OTA then you can also check manually by going through Settings > Software updates > then Download and install.

Launched back in 2020, the Galaxy Note 20 has just recently updated to the latest One UI 3.1 version. These smartphones were one of the initial Galaxy devices from Samsung to get the Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update.
