Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Fold, and more getting January 2021 security update
Samsung has started rolling out new software updates to the Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy Fold, and Galaxy A8 smartphones. This new update installs the latest Android patches released in January 2021.
January 2021 security update fixes 1 critical and 47 high levels of CVEs. In addition, this firmware brings improvements to the system stability and features enhancements to increase the device performance.

- N960FXXS7FUA1 – Samsung Galaxy Note 9
- F900FXXS4CTL1 – Samsung Galaxy Fold
- A530FXXSGCUA1 – Samsung Galaxy A8 2018

As we know, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has already lost its eligibility to get the Android 11 and One UI 3.0 update. Meanwhile, Samsung will continuously provide regular security updates to this older flagship for two more years.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Fold device will soon start getting the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update. The company has scheduled this device in the January 2021 batch for the One UI 3.0 firmware.

- Open device’s Settings
- Scroll down and select Software updates
- Hit the Download and install option.
