The Galaxy S20 FE 5G is getting the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update in the US. Both the locked and unlocked units are getting the update in the country. The update also brings the December 2021 security patch.

One UI 4.0 update rolling out in India
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S20 FE 5G are getting the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update in India. Alongside new Android 12 features, the update also brings the December 2021 security patch.

January 2022 security patch rolling out
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is now receiving the latest January 2022 security patch. The latest software update is rolling out with software version G781BXXS4DVA2.
According to Samsung, the company added 62 fixes, 52 from Google and 10 from Samsung, in the January 2022 security patch.

The Galaxy S20 FE locked units are now getting the Android 12 update in the US. The network carriers including T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon have now released the One UI 4.0 update. AT&T is yet to release the stable update.

The Snapdragon variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G is getting the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update with software version G780GXXU3BUL9. The update also added the December 2021 security patch.
According to the information, the update is currently rolling out in Malaysia.

After the Snapdragon variant, the company has now started rolling out the November 2021 security patch to the Galaxy S20 FE Exynos variant, the 5G variant is still waiting.
The software version of this update is G780FXXS7CUI5. The new update is currently rolling out in Asian and European countries.
The November 2021 security patch fixes many privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. It includes fixes from Google for 3 critical vulnerabilities, 20 high-risk vulnerabilities, and 2 moderate-risk vulnerabilities.
The update also includes fixes for 13 vulnerabilities – 1 high-risk, 1 critical vulnerability, and 2 moderate-risk vulnerabilities found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
According to Samsung, Google fixed 15 vulnerabilities with its November 2021 security patch that were already included in Samsung’s October 2021 update.
AUGUST 14, 2021: On Verizon in the US
