Samsung initially released the August 2023 Android security patch for the Galaxy S20 series devices in Brazil and as promised, the tech maker has now expanded the reach of the update at the Verizon network in the US. However, the other carrier network users will also acquire the firmware in the coming days.
According to the information, the Verizon network owners of Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, Galaxy S20 Plus 5G, and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G will be able to identify the August 2023 security patch via the One UI build version G981VSQS6HWGC, G986VSQS6HWGC, and G988VSQS6HWGC respectively.
The latest firmware will address more than 70 exploits and vulnerabilities of the system and improve the dev’s core mechanism for an optimized and bug-free experience. Hence, if you want a boosted performance of your handy gadget, then upgrade t to the latest version via Settings > Software Update > Download & Install.
