We’ve recently encountered some reports that suggest the Galaxy S21 users are facing battery consumption issues after installing a recent update that also includes the February 2021 security patch. Moreover, Samsung is reportedly working to release a hotfix update to solve these issues.
On the other hand, the Korean tech giant now pushed a new software update to the Galaxy S21 series smartphones. As per the changelog of this OTA, it doesn’t mention any revisions related to the battery draining issues, reports SamMobile. Meanwhile, it brings improvements to the performance of the camera function for increased photography experience.

Moreover, the new Galaxy S21 update comes with device performance enhancements that resolve many unknown issues of the software system of these phones. Besides, the system functions also get enhancements in order to bring a better user experience.
Initially rolling out in the European region, the latest software for the Galaxy S21 models comes with build versions: G998BXXU1AUB6, G996BXXU1AUB6, and G991BXXU1AUB6 for the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 respectively. However, it also includes the February 2021’s security patch that is already released for these devices.
Since it’s an initial rollout, so it may take a bit longer to cross the boundaries of Germany, UK, and Switzerland. Furthermore, this firmware will hit the Galaxy S21 phones in several phases until the company ensures stability.
