After getting available in various countries including Brazil, India, and Canada. Samsung is now rolling out the July 2023 Android security update for the Galaxy S21 series owners in the US. Notably, the patch is currently live for locked models on the Sprint Mobile network.
The carrier-locked models of Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones can identify the July 2023 security update through One UI build versions G991USQS8EWG1, G996USQS8EWG1, and G998USQS8EWG1, in the US, respectively.
The latest patch aims to enhance the device’s security by improving the core mechanics. It also resolves more than 90 vulnerabilities and exposures from Google and Samsung software, ensuring a safe user experience. Users can download the update via Settings > Software Update > Download & Install.
