Samsung is expanding the reach of the January 2023 security update to more users of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones.
The January 2023 update was initially rolled out in Malaysia and it’s now making its way to the users of Samsung Galaxy S22 living in Brazil.

To be mentioned, the Korean tech giant has accelerated its January 2023 security update rollout and seeding all the remaining devices with the improvements of the monthly patch.

As per the info, the January 2023 update has arrived with the firmware version S901EXXS2BWA2, S906EXXS2BWA2, S908EXXS2BWA2 for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra respectively.
Moving further, the update brings common improvements and bug fixes for your device. Additionally, it enhances the security and reliability of your device to offer seamless performance.
Users in Brazil can install the latest version on their Galaxy devices, to experience a more improved and boosted running. To manually download the update, follow these simple steps.
- Visit the Settings section.
- Here tap on the Software and Update menu.
- Press the Download & Install key.
But ahead of installing the patch, make sure that your device should be charged 30% or above and should have sufficient storage as the update carries a package of around 360MB.
Other than the security patch, Samsung Galaxy S22 users also testing One UI 5.1 software, which is going to be unveiled on February 1st, at the Galaxy Unpacked event 2023.
