Samsung Galaxy S23 April 2023 update brings camera improvements, bug fixes and more

Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones have started gripping the all-new April 2023 security update. The month of April has not yet begun, though, the Korean tech giant has begun seeding its Galaxy devices with the fixes and improvements of the forthcoming patch, in order to provide seamless performance.

The April 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy s23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra has appeared with One UI build version S911NKSU1AWC8, S916NKSU1AWC8, and S918NKSU1AWC8 respectively. Simultaneously, it also includes an installation package of around 100MB, which will not require much space on your device.

As always, the April 2023 security patch will enhance the security and stability of your device and protect it from harmful threats. Additionally, it will also optimize the core mechanism and resolve some common bugs and issues of the system and make it more reliable for better interpretation.

In addition to these improvements, the new firmware also obtains some major camera enhancements new features, bug fixes, and more for your Galaxy S23 lineup. The new update adds a super steady function in the camera section, which will allow you to capture shots more quickly and effectively.

It means the camera will capture a photo as soon as you hit the shutter button even without the proper focus. However, if you don’t like this feature and want photos only when the shot is well-focussed, then the company recommends users change Camera Assistant settings with the help of a guide.

Moving on, the latest April 2023 firmware also adds an amazing feature to the gallery app of your Galaxy S23 series which allows you to delete the recently captured photo even before it gets processed. In case you find any kind of fault in the picture, the new “instant photo delete” ability lets you instantly vanish the shot from the gallery.

The Korean tech giant also optimizes the ultrawide mode, like when you capture your memorable moments using night mode and super steady ON, you will get a notice saying, “To take a good Super Steady photo, I need more light.” And this will result in improving the quality of your photograph.

Similarly, the update also brings fixes for some common camera issues which were bothering the users like the green line on the left side when capturing images from the primary camera, and the image stabilization when shooting with FHD settings at 60fps after setting Auto FPS Off in the rear video.

It further optimizes the line-shaped banding noise appearing problem while using the Nightography function and the overall sharpness was optimized during high-res shooting, and irregular blurring was improved through OIS stabilization. Not only this, but this major firmware also upgrades a bunch of applications.

The list of improvements also includes fixes for the issue when shooting after Night Off in low light after altering the shooting speed ​​via Camera Assistant. However, you need to follow these steps: Camera Assistant > Shooting Speed ​​> High Resolution > Speed ​​Priority, then Camera > Night Off or Scene Optimizer Off.

However, the update is initially rolling out in South Korea and the company will expand its reach to more users in the coming days or weeks.
