This new update will optimize the performance of your Galaxy tablet and offer better protection against threats viruses and other safety-related assaults.
The January 2024 security patch also mends exploits and vulnerabilities of Google and Samsung including 1 critical, 68 high, and 6 moderate levels of CVEs for the Android operating system. Whereas, 5 SVE items related to the camera, the secure folder, the biometrics, the Wi-Fi, and the Bluetooth.
It means you can expect a more boosted and secure experience after downloading the first firmware on your Galaxy Tablet. Simultaneously, the owners of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ will be able to determine the January 2024 security update via One UI build version X218USQS1AXA1.

Accordingly, the update is currently live for the locked units of Galaxy Tab A9+ on the Verizon network US, however, the other region users will also collect it soon. You can check and download the update manually through Settings > Software Update > Download & Install.
