Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 at Verizon getting April 2021 security update with new camera features

Samsung’s latest flagship tablet product line, Verizon’s Galaxy Tab S7, is now receiving new firmware updates in the United States. Together with the upgraded security patch, this firmware brings many new useful features for Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ users.

Verizon launched this new update, which contains the internal version number: Galaxy Tab S7 5G and Tab S7 + 5G T878USQU2BUD2 and T978USQU2BUD3. In order to enhance system security, it installed the updated Android and One UI patches released in April 2021.

In addition to the April 2021 security patch, the update log for this version also shows some new camera features related to the single shooting, portrait and front camera gestures, and Google Duo effects. You can view the changelog for this latest software update below.

Single Take – 2 Video Filters

  • Adds 2 video filters – Highlight videos and Filtered videos.

Portrait – Mono/Backdrop Effects

  • Change the background for portrait shots using the new High-Key Mono, Low-Key Mono, and Backdrop effects.

Front Camera Gesture

  • Now start recording with the palm of your hand.

Duo – Background Effects

  • Supports background effects function during video calling.

How to check for updates?

  • Go to Settings
  • Scroll down to Software updates
  • Then click on Download and install
