Samsung is rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic owners in India, which probably be bringing improvements of the May 2023 firmware for the wearables. The changelog of the update didn’t mention any particular patch as of now, but it may get clear in the coming days.

As per the information, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 May 2023 update can be determined via the build version ending with GWDA, and consumers of the wearable will have to maintain some storage as the firmware carries a 296.14MB and this latest firmware may bring several improvements for the better performance of the wearable.

Moving on, the latest firmware will optimize the overall experience and improve the reliability of your Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and further offer users a more boosted version than before. Additionally, it will also resolve some common issues that were affecting the functioning of the Galaxy watch series.

Therefore, the update is currently available in India and the company may soon expand its reach in more markets. Therefore, if you are operating the Galaxy Watch 4 or the Watch 4 Classic, then you can download the latest update. To do so, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected Android smartphone.

Now go to the Watch settings >> Watch software update option. If your watch displays a Home tab, swipe to and tap Watch software update. Finally, tap the Download and Install option to start downloading the update.

Points to take care of before installing 

  • Make sure your watch has a battery of at least 30%.
  • You will not be able to use your watch while installing this update, even for emergency calls.
  • Some settings on your watch may change.
