Samsung released August 2023 One UI update for unlocked Galaxy S20 devices in the US
Samsung is rolling out the refinements and fixes of the August 2023 One UI update for the unlocked models of Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra in the US. However, the update is already live on the Verizon network and will not let the remaining users wait for too long.
According to the information, the August 2023 update is released via the One UI build version G981U1UES6HWG6, G986U1UES6HWG6, and G988U1UES6HWG6 for Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra respectively in the US.
This new firmware will improve the core mechanisms of the system and provide increased security for the system, ensuring that confidential data and sensitive information remain safe and secure. It also resolves over 70 vulnerability exposures to maintain the reliability of the device and offer an optimized user experience.
To enjoy the benefits of the latest patch, users of the corresponding models will need to install a 271.96MB package size. Therefore, you can install the update manually via Settings > Software Update > Download & Install.
