Samsung releases One UI 5.1.1 alongside August 2023 update for Galaxy S22

The consumers of the Galaxy S22 series are waiting for the chance to experience One UI 6 features and offerings through a Beta update, but, Samsung is currently allowing them to enjoy One UI 5.1.1 enhancements. FYI, the update is available on the Verizon network in the US at the moment.

Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones have recently grabbed the One UI 5.1.1 software update alongside the August 2023 security patch in the US. This new firmware brings new features, optimizations, bug fixes, and improved system security for seamless user experience.

After upgrading the device to the latest version, you will notice the call Background menu has been moved to contact details and when you share an image with the Samsung Messages app, the conversations and contacts tabs will be now shown at the top for easy access.

Contacts

  • The Call Background menu has been moved to Contact Details.
    • Select a contact > Select the three dots (More options) > Select Edit call background to change the background of your contact.

Messages

  • When you share an image with the Samsung Messages app, the conversations and contacts tabs are now shown at the top for easy access.

However, the locked models of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra will be able to identify the latest update through One UI build version S901USQU3CWGI, S906USQU3CWGI, and S908USQU3CWGI respectively.
